Welcome to Singaship Logistics. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our services, including the Singaship Logistics website (“Website”) and any logistics, transportation, or related services we provide. By using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services immediately.

  1. Definitions

In these Terms:

  • “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us” refers to Singaship Logistics.
  • “Client,” “you,” or “your” refers to any individual or entity using our services.
  • “Services” refers to any logistics, transportation, warehousing, or related services provided by Singaship Logistics.
  • “Goods” refers to the items or cargo being transported or handled by us.
  1. Scope of Services

Singaship Logistics provides transportation, freight forwarding, warehousing, and other related logistics services. Specific terms may vary depending on the service agreement between the Client and the Company.

  1. Responsibilities of the Client

3.1 Accurate Information: The Client must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information about the Goods, including their nature, weight, dimensions, value, and any special handling requirements.

3.2 Packaging and Labeling: The Client is responsible for ensuring that all Goods are properly packed and labeled to withstand transportation and comply with applicable laws and regulations.

3.3 Compliance: The Client must comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and restrictions regarding the transportation and handling of Goods, including customs declarations and prohibited items.

3.4 Payment: The Client agrees to pay all applicable fees, charges, and taxes associated with the Services provided.

  1. Prohibited Goods

We do not handle or transport the following:

  • Hazardous materials, explosives, or flammable substances.
  • Perishable items without prior written agreement.
  • Illegal items or contraband.
  • Goods prohibited by applicable laws or regulations.

If prohibited items are discovered, Singaship Logistics reserves the right to refuse, dispose of, or report such items to authorities without liability.

  1. Liability and Insurance

5.1 Limitation of Liability: Singaship Logistics is not liable for:

  • Loss, damage, or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, or governmental actions).
  • Loss, damage, or delay resulting from the Client’s failure to comply with these Terms.

5.2 Insurance:

  • The Client is responsible for insuring the Goods unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • We offer limited liability coverage as specified in the service agreement. Additional insurance may be arranged upon request, subject to additional fees.

5.3 Claims: Any claims for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within 14 days of delivery or, in the case of non-delivery, within 30 days from the expected delivery date.

  1. Payment Terms

6.1 All fees and charges are due as specified in the invoice or service agreement.
6.2 Late payments may incur interest at a rate of [1.5% per month] or the maximum permitted by law.
6.3 Singaship Logistics reserves the right to suspend or terminate services for overdue accounts.

  1. Indemnity

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Singaship Logistics, its affiliates, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of:

  • The Client’s breach of these Terms.
  • The transportation or handling of prohibited or improperly described Goods.
  • Non-compliance with applicable laws or regulations.
  1. Confidentiality

We respect the confidentiality of all information provided by the Client. However, we may disclose such information to comply with legal or regulatory requirements or in connection with the performance of our Services.

  1. Termination

Either party may terminate the service agreement with 14 days’ written notice, subject to the settlement of all outstanding obligations.

  1. Use of Website

10.1 Intellectual Property: All content on our Website, including logos, text, and images, is owned by Singaship Logistics or licensed to us. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
10.2 Third-Party Links: Our Website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
10.3 Prohibited Activities: You must not use our Website for unlawful purposes or to disrupt its operation.

  1. Data Protection

We handle personal data in accordance with our Data Privacy Policy and the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). Please review our Data Privacy Policy for more information.

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Singaship Logistics shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our Services.

  1. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of God, pandemics, or governmental restrictions.

  1. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any disputes shall first be resolved through mediation. If mediation fails, disputes will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.

  1. Amendments

Singaship Logistics reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated through our Website or other appropriate channels. Continued use of our Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
